MasterTech is a comprehensive 5-day program designed to challenge participants in the creation of an innovative product or experience. Using a curated selection of provided technologies, participants work collaboratively to explore, design, and develop their ideas into tangible solutions. Enhancing corporate environments through Cisco Space Analytics by creating smart, sustainable solutions – utilising AI-driven insights and advanced sensor networks to optimise real estate decisions and achieve significant energy savings. In collaboration with healthcare leader Northern Health, ICM is helping to transform Victoria’s telehealth landscape with augmented reality and machine learning. Now an AFR-award winning initiative, the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) optimises emergency triage processes, improves the delivery of remote patient care, and leads the development of innovative virtual emergency services. A national health organisation partnered with ICM to accelerate its operational improvement agenda using a structured “adopt, adapt, develop” approach. We co-designed a portfolio of improvement projects, balancing short-term wins with longer-term initiatives aimed at creating lasting impact. The emphasis was on transforming with intent – adopting existing tools first, adapting them to support new ways of working, and only then recommending the development of new technology where clear value could be demonstrated. An agricultural team needed to pilot drone robotics in indoor environments. ICM co-designed a custom indoor navigation system, integrating existing networks with AI and computer vision. The result? A working prototype in a few months, and a clear path to a business solution. A global research firm had collaboration tools but lacked insight into how teams were working. ICM reconfigured their existing platforms to monitor digital engagement, uncover workforce patterns, and inform better hybrid work strategies—without any major new tech investment. At Cisco Live Melbourne 2024, Coles and ICM hosted a national MasterTech challenge. An intensive five-day sprint where student teams from Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Perth tackled store sustainability challenges. Concepts included AI to detect customer interaction with products, a smart shelf, a smart shopping cart, an eco-swap system to help customers reduce environmental impact, and even a bold reinvention of the entire shopping experience.MasterTech
