Healthcare Digital Literacy Training

Program Overview

The program will consist of short courses, micro-credentials, webinars, workshops, and training sessions. Modules and topics covered in the Healthcare Digital Literacy Training include: 

• Digital Tools and Platforms: Healthcare professionals will learn how to navigate and effectively utilise various digital tools and platforms commonly used in the healthcare industry, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, telemedicine platforms, health information exchange systems, mobile health applications, and other relevant software solutions.
• Data Management and Analytics: Healthcare professionals are trained on how to collect, manage, analyse, and interpret data to improve patient outcomes, as well as data privacy, security, and compliance regulations.
• Telehealth and Remote Patient Monitoring: With the increasing adoption of telehealth and remote patient monitoring, the training equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to conduct virtual consultations, remote monitoring of patients, and telemedicine best practices. Participants will learn about the technology requirements, communication techniques, and legal considerations associated with telehealth services.
• Health Information Exchange: The training covers the concepts and practices of health information exchange (HIE), which involves securely sharing patient health information across different healthcare providers and systems. Participants learn about interoperability standards, electronic data exchange protocols, and the benefits of HIE in enhancing care coordination and continuity.
• Digital Communication and Collaboration: The training focuses on teaching healthcare professionals how to leverage digital communication tools, such as email, instant messaging, video conferencing, and collaborative platforms, to facilitate seamless and efficient communication with colleagues, patients, and other stakeholders.
• Cybersecurity and Privacy: Given the sensitivity and confidentiality of healthcare data, the training addresses the importance of cybersecurity and privacy in the digital landscape. Participants learn about best practices for protecting patient information, identifying and mitigating cyber threats, and adhering to industry regulations and standards.
• Ethical and Legal Considerations: Healthcare professionals are educated on understanding patient consent, privacy laws, data-sharing agreements, and ethical guidelines for digital interactions with patients.
